Pursuant to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), Av. Furkan Talha Aktağ (Aktağ Law Office), acting as data controller, provides the following information regarding the processing of your personal data.

1. Personal Data Processed

Your full name, e-mail address, telephone number and any information contained in your message, as submitted through the contact form on this website, are processed. Please do not share special categories of personal data (health, criminal convictions, etc.) in the form.

2. Purposes and Legal Basis

Your personal data are processed for the purposes of responding to your request, arranging an appointment and planning a preliminary consultation, on the legal bases set out in Article 5/2-c (necessity for the conclusion or performance of a contract) and Article 5/2-f (legitimate interest) of the KVKK. If an attorney–client relationship is established, the data are further processed to fulfil obligations under the Attorneys’ Act No. 1136.

3. Transfers

Your personal data are not shared with third parties except where required by law. The service provider used for the contact form infrastructure may access the data solely for transmission purposes. Data may be transferred to judicial authorities and competent public bodies upon lawful request.

4. Retention

Data relating to requests that do not result in an attorney–client relationship are deleted within one year at the latest after a response is given. Where such a relationship is established, data are retained for the periods prescribed by the Attorneys’ Act and related legislation.

5. Your Rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to apply to the data controller to:

  • Learn whether your personal data are being processed,
  • Request information if they have been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether the data are used in accordance with that purpose,
  • Know the third parties to whom the data have been transferred,
  • Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
  • Request erasure or destruction of the data,
  • Object to a result against you arising from analysis exclusively by automated systems,
  • Claim compensation for damage arising from unlawful processing.

6. Applications
